Pakistan PM: Voting for general elections took place in Pakistan on Thursday (February 8) with sporadic incidents of violence and counting of votes started soon after. According to the Election Commission of Pakistan, a total of 5,121 candidates are in the fray for the National Assembly seats and 12,695 candidates for the four provincial assemblies.
